[Build Log] The Eclipse Desk

Thread Starter

This is a build log of my first scratch build, an update of my previous minorly modded lian li pc-p60 which i have gotten a bit tired of.. I will maybe post some pictures of that one later on..

The hardware which I will be using is from my previous build is: An asus p9x79 pro, intel 3820, corsair vengance 32gb, a 5770 (most likely will be upgraded) 2x corsair force gt 120gb in raid 0, a ssd cash drive for 2 tb hd, and a non modular psu which also most likely will be upgraded)

My intention with this build with this build was to get as little visible cable mess as possible (monitor cables, psu, keyboard cable and so on..)

Nice idea! Desks seem to be very popular at the moment, I'm actually working on one myself wink.gif

I was just thinking that you might get in trouble reaching the I/O ports of the motherbaord. Wouldn't it be more practical to turn the mobo and then have to ports on the side? That way you can access it better.

Thank you smile.gif I will look at your work smile.gif I have thougt of that, and therefore I will be putting a 3.5 card reader and usb3 hub + slot load dvd drive in the gap in the desk surface smile.gif I have chosen this solution so that there will be as little cable mess seen on the outside of the desk.
