EVGA Z77 FTW Usable PCI-E slots when SLI'ing

Hello,

I currently have the Maximus IV Extreme and have 2 680's, TV card and a Sound card. I would like to get a revodrive 3 soon as a boot drive as i enjoy formatting every 2 weeks! But mainly for the speed!

My current setup is kind of annoying, ever since a watercooled card takes up 2 slots i have had to put my TV card on a 1x riser and flip the card on the bracket. (it fits but looks crap and is flapping about in the wind)

I was looking at getting the EVGA z77 FTW as slot layout looks better but my question is which slots do i use for SLI? I have found this So its saying 2 & 4 for SLI but by using these slots does it disable other slots?

I have also read that people are setting up by using Revodrive (slot 1) SLI cards 2 & 4 Which only leaves Slot 6 free.. but looking at that diagram i wont be able to use that for a soundcard/tv card as the lane runs into slot 4?

Hope someone can help!

Well i did read around EVGA forum before coming here and most were moaning about bios updates ect not working! But other than that couldn't really find many people in my position with 5 PCI-E cards.

Anyway i had decided for the time being to keep this M4E and wait for Haswell to come out any maybe upgrade to 1150 if its any good wink.gif

Thanks for the reply!
