Should I get the ASrock Z77 Extreme4 Mobo or the Gigabyte GA Z77X D3H? - Page 3

People are just saying ASrock, but not giving any proof of why it's better. To be honest, I think i'm going to go with the Gigabyte UD3H because it seems better, what is the maximum overlcock i'll get with an i5 3570k 3.4Ghz CPU? I'm buying a 500W PSU for the PC.

6.6 GHz.... on LN2 biggrin.gif

More seriously, the VRM's on the motherboard will not limit overclocking, it will depend on the capatibilities of you specific CPU (random) and on the performance of your cooler.

What is LN2??

And can I get a 4.5 Ghz on a 3.4 Ghz i5 3570k? What is the best OC I can do, without reaching dangerous temperatures?

And one last question, will new games coming out this year like BF4 run on ultra with stable FPS (30)?

Thanks, I will be getting the UD3H I think.

Should be fine with the Hyper 212 Evo. For bit higher like 4.7 it will depend on your temps which can vary a bit from one system to another.

Sounds great, and liquid nitrogen sounds too extreme xD

So, one last question about the UD3H. When I am doing a test external build to check for bad parts, is there an on and off switch on the Mobo? How else would you turn it on?

Also any help on a guide to overclocking would be great, with the same mobo.

Thanks

EDIT- Don't worry about the power button, I just saw a picture after reading through the review onit and it has bright red one biggrin.gif

@adridu59
Thanks a lot for the info, I'm quite shock to be honest.. I'm now planning to sell this mobo and replace with MSI Z77A-GD55 or Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H.. rolleyes.gif

Posting this just in the case OP haven't seen it

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/02/06/asrock_z77_extreme4_lga_1155_motherboard_review/3#.UVg_OBwvhPE

I own one and I must say its a solid mobo, its thin yes but like they said thats the only problem besides , otherwise it can hold its ground with other top of the line mobos. It is also a really good clocker.
