New mouse for FPS gaming? - Page 2

2. I can't play games on a high sensitivity. On BF3, the mouse sensitivity is about 5 or so clicks from the slowest setting. I find it very hard to aim if it is any faster.
4. I would like to have a couple of buttons on the side for my knife and grenade. I use a 5 button right now and don't think I need any more then that.
6. I am just looking for a good mouse that is accurate. I play on 800 dpi, and I find it very hard to play on the 1600 dpi. I can't imagine how someone could play on anything higher then that. Almost makes me think I am missing something because some of the games I own have the ability to make the the pointer move so fast that I don't even understand how it could be possible to play on such high settings.

I'm not sure why you numbered your questions like you did and I'm really not sure I want to take advice from someone who can't count.

The DeathAdder will be perfect for you. Its ideal for palm grip users, has 5 buttons (2 on the side) and it uses one of the most accurate sensors available - the DeathAdder 3.5G uses the Avago ADNS-S3888 and the DeathAdder 2013 4G uses the Avago ADNS-S3988 sensor.

Not either of those though. Gigabyte website claims 3000 FPS. Likely a low end Pixart model.
Hmmm, so it might be worth getting a new mouse after all. But wasn't the early diamondbacks 1600 dpi with the 3060? You also list the Naos 3200 as using the A3060, are both its higher steps interpolated? I knew the 3200 one was.

No, they don't, it's a marketing gimmick.

Palm grip, 800 dpi, go with either

g400
DeathAdder

I'm leaning more towards the logitech because of the quality (cable can cause some problems but there's a workaround and logi will gladly replace it if anything goes wrong)
if you're going to decide for DA 2013 edition, keep in mind it uses synaopse (cloud storage) instead of onboard

3070/3080

Naos 3200 as well as a few other mice load A3080 SROM. Technically illegal =x

I would say the quality card is subjective/perception here. G400 is built to cheaper specification in terms of internal components. Logitech does offer a much nicer warranty though. 3 vs 1 year (2013).

DA2K13 can save a single profile. Most of the synapse mice do have reprogramable on board memory (why some don't make use, I have no freaking clue -.-)

I went with the DeathAdder 2013 4G. I think it will be very comfortable in my hand. Thanks for everyone's help. Amazon had a pretty good deal on this, paid $55.

Love my 2012 DeathAdder! It's 3500dpi but at that setting it's perfect. With my older cheap mouse I could notice slight "grid click" when scrolling slow. Not the case anymore. I really must say that "click" bothered me more than anything. It's almost seemed like I had choppy fps.

I use all 6400dpi on my DA2013 ;P but of course I botch the sensitivity to about 1/5th the default. Gimmick to do such things and "improve accuracy" but I did have stuttering when I played Planetside 2 on my actual dpi at about 2700 with default sensitivity in games even with all the settings set to advance the mouse and on a Control Mouse Pad. 6400dpi w/ Dropped sensitivity feels the same but relieved the .001% chance I noticed the mouse inaccuracy's.

Also I was disappointed about Synapse myself, hated it for a while, and was hesitant to buy a mouse that specifically used it. But I've come around to liking and all the updates really make managing your Razer Products a lot easier. It use to be a lot worse but now it's my go to for managing Macro's, Lighting, etc. I wouldn't let that sway your decision.

Well, then you don't really use all your dpi as dpi is merely sensitivity.

But it seems you're playing with an extremely high sens, and I have no experience with the problems that could arise with that, so if it feels better just go with it.
