also, mention your boost clocks, not +100 or +80. Most of us have different default clocks, so +50 on my card is different than +50 on somebody elses.

If you're running games at 1250-1265mhz, you're running just fine. If you feel like you need more, you can flash your BIOS, but again, an extra 10-20 mhz isn't going to change that much.

I'm not concerned about getting obscene clocks, what is bothering me is the fact that boosting to 1264 seems 100% stable in 3dmark past the 1st test, no artifacts lock ups crashes etc, but because of the TDP limit it's throttling me in 3dmark and more intense games. TDP limit just seems like nonsense. If it is possible to mod my TDP limit to say 132% none of this seems like it would be an issue.

Valley at default clocks peaks to 118%, valley at a boost of 1189mhz peaks @ 124%.

It's trivially easy to mod the BIOS for a higher power limit, so that's probably your best solution.

Modded the bios, limit at 150%, boost up to 1280 max tdp it seems to be hitting is 144%. Is this a decent score for firestrike at 1280 boost and 1702 on mem...

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/322545

Also im getting a score of ~1920 valley. As long as these are average scores with a 670 around these clock speeds I won't mind keeping the card.

Little update and looking for some more insight. With the power slider set to 150% benching in firestrike and 3dmark 11 only peak 144% and according to precision my boost clock is staying at a stable 1280 but im getting random frame rate drops, and every time i run either test it happens in different spots; in the combined tests and both graphic tests. Scores range from (gpu score) 6100-7400 in firestrike after several runs at the same settings. Precision has not crashed but I've also tried restarting my rig afterwards to ensure its not precision bugging out. Doesn't seem to been an issue with valley but I haven't thoroughly tested it. Also while playing bioshock infinite at a boost clock of 1202 with power slider set to 150% (only peaks 136%~) clocks are rock solid stable by when i interact with certain things in the game my gpu usage drops and I experience a quick downward frame spike. Very confused so far rolleyes.gif

**temps are always sub 62c so im not throttling based on thermals

Bump for some help

Again latest issue is that 3dmark results for both 11 and firestrike are completely random. Ill be cruising at 60 fps in the 3rd test of 11 and then all of the sudden it drops down to 40, yet temps are under 70c and TDP is 5-8% under the limit I set. Precision X shows my core speed at a stable 1084 with stock bios, and 1202 with modded bios but this happens no matter what. The card does this even with my pc completely at stock. I have a new power supply on its way this week but I really don't believe thats the issue. The card seems to do whatever it wants...
