Drain Valve

Picked one of these up and I'm wondering how I can possibly extend the smaller barb into a bigger one or if it's capable of small tubing with a drain plug somehow at the end

Starting to search the forum and google but I'm curious if you all have some advice off the bat.

I just want to have a proper bit of a tubing with a plug at the end so when i drain it wont be a matter of unscrewing the top off that drain line and having water spewing at me smile.gif

I don't consider this as a valve, I consider this a a T-Block with a smaller outlet.

This is a Valve wink.gif

This is my T-Block that I use to drain (Click to show)

Always open the reservoir fill plug before openning the drain Line biggrin.gif , unless you want a splash of pressure.

I hear ya smile.gif I'm only referring to it as the product name.

I want to have something to extend the end of the drain so that it doesn't spew anywhere, but that barb looks way to small for me to put tubing with a stop fitting at the end, you know what i mean? I really really dont want a cap twisting off over my psu and the rest of my equipment biggrin.gif

Yes I hear ya too biggrin.gif

I was referring to koolance claiming it's a valve.

What is your budget for a T-Line Drain Line?

-$50 , yes that's a negative biggrin.gif!!!!!!!!! lol
I spent $560 this week to upgrade my already $200 xspc kit that cost $300 with shipping and accessories a few months ago. waterkilling. woops smile.gif did i say waterkilling? yes, watercooling has kidnapped me and is waterkilling my bank!!!!

I'll be getting the rest of my equipment next week but I might hold off on doing the loop till UV green tubing from primochill is in stock at frozencpu ( 1-18days frown.gif )

However, I honestly need the simplest cheapest setup that I know the least I'll need is some form of extender, barb, tubing, barb, stop fitting?
I've never done one of these and I'd like to do it right in case I do the loop with my clear tube instead of uv green, would not be fun to do a brand new cpu gpu loop then take off every compression fitting, every tube, clean every part again just to swap color smile.gif

Thank you so much for the in depth information, I can't thank you enough smile.gif not even with the +REP's

The only thing I don't understand is how do i get that tiny barb that comes off the Koolance "drain valve" to connect to the bigger barb that will lead to the nozzle body. I see the picture with the female adapter but I don't see how the female adapter would connect a g1/4 threaded barb to that tiny T part of the valve frown.gif

edit-
idea not sure if it would be as efficient as above..
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25268
is there a way i can use some type of adapter to make the small barb on the drain valve lead to the bigger tubing so i can use that drain plug on the 7/16 5/8 tube i have?
or should i just possibly buy the tubing thats really small and find a really small drain plug (if it exists?)

In my link, its a different T-Block (not a drain valve)

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_203_475&products_id=24330

Its not the drain valve you have been talking about, its a simple T-Block and it includes two stop-fitting.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy this one

NO NO the drain below wink.gif

Yes but I've already ordered and received the one I showed frown.gif

So could I just connect
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2123/ex-mis-03/14_ID_-_38_OD_PVC_Clear_Tubing.html?tl=g30c99s170 - tubing and then at the end of my tubing http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=28340 drain plug ?

I jut have to figure out the proper tubing and proper drain plug size because the one that I have it's ridiculously small and i've never used anything other than 7/16 5/8 so its all news to me biggrin.gif

Edit - i see what your saying about the t-block, it definately would of been an easier setup and id be able to do it with all the tubing i already have, problem is i already bought that koolance "drain valve" and have it in abox redface.gif

eh... thinking about it. that barb is way too small for me to feel comfortable putting a few inches of tubing on it :/
I might have to just use that untill i order some more stuff then ill swap out that koolance with the T-block you showed me

I have looked over the Koolance website and no where they mention the size of the little nozzle. frown.gif

I know it looks like a small barb but they don't mention the size of it. Why? headscratch.gif
