Westy 37": 2,052,000 Pixels (1900x1080) in a 37" space = ~55,500
The Dell has 2.5 times more pixels considering the space of the display. Plus, I think, that the extra 7" will be wasted anyway and if you plan on going with SLi'd 8800GTX's or CrossFire'd R600's down the road you'd better get the higher resolution display to really show off there power and the extreme high definition will look amazing if you hook up a PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, or Xbox 360.

I cant spend another $900 on a monitor to get the 30' Dell.

image how big a upgrade itll be upgrading to the 24' Dell for me =)

Only way id be able to get the 30' Dell is if i could use it for a pc monitor / tv.

Also, let us keep in mind that TV displays, such as the westy, arent designed to provide higher frame rates that broadcast or DVD allows. I can almost guarantee any computer monitor will look better for games.

there you go, for the 2007wfp, i'll find the one for 2407wfp later. the E207WFP also has HDCP. Dell was one of the first ones to adopt HDCP in their monitors.

Hey ultravorx, did u ever get around doing a comparison between the dell 30" and the westy? Im interested because im gonna buy a new monitor soon and was wondering which would be a better deal to get. Im just concerned about the 1920x1080 resolution and also how big the pixel sizes will be and if they are noticable from say, 2 ft away or so.

Man four inches from a monitor.... your gonna need 4 inch thick glasses by the time your 30.

I use a 56 Samsung with 1920x1200 resolution and it looks fantastic during gaming when you sit about 5 feet away. I hands down recommend the 37" Westinghouse to you. You can use it as both a monitor and TV plus it has over 2 times the screen area. Playing games on monitors and TVs that big is amazing. I will never go back to using a regular sized monitor as my display. I would suggest that you mount your LCD on a wall and scoot your desk back until you are about 4 feet away from it. It will look awesome.
