The Snapdragon 600 is a pretty snappy processor. I find it hard to believe anyone would call it slow.
Just for reference, my wife has a Note II with the Exynos 4 Quad core in it. It's smooth and powerful. The Snapdragon 600 is more powerful than the Exynos 4.
