I want to know what you would be cooling that requires 1080 mm of cooling or roughly the equivalent of ~2100 watts of cooling?

As with 99% of OCN, it's not about "need" so much as it is about "want".

But 3 GTX 580's OC'd to 1GHz and a i7-965EE OC'd to 4.6GHz does require a pantload of cooling capacity. Which is why I did my system.

Not so much now with the more effecient 6xx series cards and 3rd generation i7's.

Thanks for all the inputs guys, I'm gonna get the monster rad since I just build a wooden rack that can hold a 3X5 120mm Rad.

As for why I need a huge rad, I want to upgrade to a 8350 and a new mobo next year and get a 6Ghz 24/7 OC biggrin.gif

Edit: I also wanted ymy GPU and my MOSFET to be in the loop as well. Currently my 7870 is naked and have 2 120mm fans blowing at it.
