My first dedicated GPU was an ATI, so sometimes i forget and still refer to AMD as ATI too, but im getting out the habit doh.gif

iirc wasn't it AMD that wanted to buy Nvidia first before going to ATI? If it wasnt for Nvidia's CEO for being greedy AMD would own Nvidia right now and ATI would be the competition.
Sadly after they spent all that money buying a GPU manufacture they went down hill. Can't wait for AMD to recover thats for sure.

You may be correct there. I will have to read up on my history. The tech world changes to fast to keep up 100% of the time.

Nvidia's stocks will continue to suffer because they cannot get a licence. Eventually, Nvidia will likely go under. The Nvidia stock (NVDA) is currently priced at $12.83, in comparison to AMD's horrid $2.55 and Intel's $21.83. Nvidia's stocks peaked on October 14, 2007 at $37.39, but have been steadily declining since then. The way that I see it, the only way that Nvidia would be able to thrive once more is if they become a dominant force in the mobile market and eventually manage to gain a x86 licence, while maintaining their dominance in the GPU market. Otherwise, the company will go under. While I am aware that Nvidia is currently competing in the mobile market with their TEGRA chipsets, increasing competition and dominance on Intel's part will eventually force Nvidia out of that market, unless Nvidia manages to garner hardware contracts with currently dominant smartphone and tablet manufacturers while juggling their current dominance over the GPU market.

which is hard because ARM, Qualcomm and Samsung, 3 companies who have a large portion of the mobile market is working with AMD on HSA, a organization nvidia isn't part of.

Problem with Nvidia is they still doent design the ARM chip, they just design the SOC. They take A9 or A15 cores and toss them onto a SOC. I would like Nvidia to design/modify a ARM chip of its own kinda like qualcomm does with the snapdragon. And TBH Tegra's GPU power isnt that impressive, tegra 4 may be a nice jump but they still have yet to use a GPU using modern cuda cores.
