Looking at 23"+ monitors and I honestly have no idea what to get.

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a new monitor, 23"+. I have a very small budget so I know I'm not going to be able to get no 2560x1440 monitor like I would want. Unless I can get one for under $300, which I highly doubt.

Anyways, I was looking at this IPS monitor from LG. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+23%26%2334%3B+IPS+LED+HD+Monitor/7979101.p?id=1218863186104&skuId=7979101

Anyone own one of these or what? And I know it's from BestBuy, but I get a discount thats partly why I was looking there.

And what would be the bare minimum price I could get if I did decide to just wait and go with a 2560x1440 monitor?

The bare minimum for a 2560x1440 (27") monitor is this one for $280
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACHIEVA-Shimian-Q270-27-LED-Quad-HD-DVI-2560x1440-16-9-PC-Monitor-/321098219430?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item4ac2f1ffa6

But most that are in new condition are $330+

That 23" from LG looks sexy though.

Do you need one for gaming? If so, what type of games?

I just got a ACER V273H, has great picture, with HDI, DVI, VGA, USB, audio, and it supports 1080i/p at 60hz

I been playing games on it and its great. Very nice picture, crisp and even the audio isn't bad.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm looking at Asus PA248Q and Dell U2412M, they are 24" and are in the ~$280 range.. I saw one Dell on ebay for $250 couple days back.

That 23" LG sure does look sexy though.

I decided to get the Dell S2431M. Best bang for the buck as I was able to get two of them for the price of one tongue.gif.

So now I have a 4 monitor display.
