1. If you buying a cable already made with plugs on both ends then you will not need any tools as
long as you will be able to route cable through a wall.

2. You need find the easiest way to run the cable in your situation from router
to computer and see how much cable you will need. No Tools Needed.
I would give myself a little bit longer cable than needed.

3. I do not what the prices are for Cat6 cables in your area so I do not if that is a good deal.

a.Yes that is right type of cable you will need.
b. Just figure how much you will need.
c.Pretty much today everyone uses Cat5E or Cat6
d. Get Cat 6 it will allow more throughput in years to come
You will be fine..thumb.gif

Here is a couple You Tube video on how to make your own cables and tools if you ever needed to smile.gif

With that cable you linked to it's already assembled. Usually with those you just pick the length you need.
Keep in mind it runs out REALLY QUICK if you're snaking around doors or going places through walls if you're just trying to guess the length.

A lot of times you can also buy a box of ethernet cable in a 1000' spool. This is a more enterprisey/DIY solution as you need to cut to length and terminate your own ends with jacks and a crimper. You can also terminate ends into a patch panel or wall jack with a punchdown tool.
