Not sure if being DDos'd or else..

Hey guys! First of all, I always had an amazing internet speed (compared to now), I used to have 8mbps and my upload speed used to be 3mbps.. Now it has been decreased to 2.74mbps and 0.74mbps.. I did pinged to google for response and this is what I got:

Also, a picture of my connection speed.

Please help, I already changed my IP via Lann several times, and this keeps occuring. I already contacted my internet providers and they told me that everything is fine with my connection.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo for the millionth time.... You aren't being "DDos'd". What motive would anyone have to "DDos" you? What service are you even running that would be targeted? Webserver?

And to be honest, if really anyone wanted to "DDos" you, most likely anyone with $20 broadband could saturate your uplink.

Anyway, contact your ISP/Check your side as well. Don't just assume you're being attacked tongue.gif

Thank you sir! I already contacted my internet provider but they told me that there is nothing wrong, I was scared of it being a ddos' attack, however.. I haven't been able to watch videos or anything. ohno-smiley.gif

How far are you from the exchange/Central Office (if you know)? Also what type of service is it (DSL/Cable/Satellite, etc). Depending on your distance or home material (for wireless/satellite connections) that could definitely impact your connection's throughput and latency.

Does your ISP have Fair Usage Policies?

You may have been capped by them for exceeding your download quota.

Do you have a WiFi router? Is it secured? Does this drop in speed happen all the time or just certain times?
And, I have to agree, unless you're some big important company or you pissed off someone you're NOT being attacked.

Cable (Currently using Wireless), I'm really close to the central office, and the wireless is right next to me. Plus, I already tried connecting it directly but I still have the same error, but this time the upload speed drops to 0.

I do have a WiFi router, it is secured (WPA/WPA2). And nope, I'm not pissed at anything, I'm just pretty stupid lol.redface.gif

If you want to see a major UDP flood, check out what recently happened to Spamhaus. I doubt the number though. I was looking at some graphs and only saw like 80Gbit.
