This will be my first build will be mostly used for playing WoW at the moment. Would like to upgrade and try different games in the future. Any suggestions or comments on possible changes to this build are greatly appreciated would like to stay below $1200 mark.

looks ok to me. could go with a less wattage PSU though unless you adding a 2nd GPU later on. good 600 be enough

You cannot overclock with an H77 chipset, you're going to want to get a Z77 if you plan to overclock, or downgrade to a normal i5 3570 if you don't want to overclock.

I'd recommend a 7870 for more bang-for-buck as a video card. I'm pretty sure you won't even need that much GPU power for WoW.

If you plan to overclock, I'd recommend getting a better cooler too. the Noctua NHD14 and Thermalright silver arrow are two top tier air coolers.

After a few changes this is what I have come up with

Was going to say after looking at your 1st choice - why micro board ? Would only use that if I was using a micro case biggrin.gif

Guess I am a fan of Noctua NHD14 thumb.gif

Wish all the luck with your 1st time build smile.gif

Solid build. Have the same board running 24/7 4.5GHz from day one with a cheap cooler and no hiccups (the mobo is a little thin), except that the Vcore Offset voltage setting requires higher volts than the Auto setting to get it stable, go figure.
You can also check out Gigabyte's UD3H for 139$.

SSDs are fairly cheap right now so you can have one as a boot drive and a couple of your favorite games (it makes a nice difference).
Sammy 840Pro 120GB for 139$ is a good choice.

660Ti is a great card at an ok price, but you can get the 7950 for 269$ with Crysis3 & Bioshock.

PSU wise, the Antec HCG is a decent unit but a bit old, you can get the Capstone 650M for 74$ which is enough for 2 high-end GPUs oc'ed.

Last, if you're using the rig just for gaming, you might be better off with W7 instead of 8.....

The previous choosing was better. Let me explain why:

i5 2500k: lacks some of the newer features of the 3570k, not worth upgrading if you already have a 2500k, but if you're buying a new system choose the 3570k.

CM V10 Hybrid TEC: Get a better cooler for the same price(NH D14, Silver arrow, H100i, Krakren X60)

P8P67 PRO: Not much of a reason to swap between the Extreme4 and this.

GSkill Ripjaws: You don't need 16Gb for gaming, and you downgraded the speed of the memory too.

HDDs: You can buy a 2tb barracuda for 80$ of NCIX.

GTX 460 SLI: Get the 660Ti, let's you take advantage of the latest nvidia updates, and avoid the headaches of multi GPU set ups.

Everything else is fine.

EDIT: So after posting I noticed you were probably trying to slim down your budget. Here's my recommendation:

FX 6100 - 100$
H80i - 60$
Asrock Extreme4 AM3+- 100$
HyperX Blu Black 8gb (2x4) 1600Mhz - 50$
Seagate Barracuda 2tb - 80$
AMD Radeon 7870 - 230$
BitFenix Shinobi - 70$
Corsair TX750 - 100$
Some random DVD read/write - 20$

Total: 810$ (go buy yourself a monitor)
