Hello everyone!
I am planning to upgrade my PC/Setup, and I have to decide between a second GTX 670 (Gigabyte Windforce OC) and a 2560x1440 monitor (most likely a Achievia Shimian or similar Korean monitor) or a few other options that involve saving and waiting for a few months. My current PC specs are in my signature. I don't know which to buy, I am planning on buying two more 1080p monitors to run nvidia surround if I go with the second 670. It would only be about 250 dollars extra, and I could buy them within the next month or two. So basically the four options are:

1. 2nd GTX 670, 2 more 1080p monitors in the next month or two.
2. Shimian or similar 2560x1440 monitor.
3. Wait for the 770 or 780.
4. Save up and wait for Ivy Bridge-E.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Well with the news thread saying Ivy-e may not be that much of an improvement over your current sandy e setup, I would probably disregard that one if it was me..But really what you use your computer for should be taken into account, if you're only using it for gaming and would want the nvidia surround immersion I'd probably go with the 2nd 670 and triple monitors. But if you use it for work and other things maybe the single 2560x1440 monitor would give you more real estate to view on a single panel possibly making life easier there... I didn't vote on anything since I didn't have a good feel for what you mainly use the pc for thumb.gif

Thanks for the quick response, and good suggestion, REP+! I use my computer for gaming mostly, but also some other tasks, such as a bit of editing (photo and video) as well as web browsing and email like the average user . If you have a sec, can you leave a vote in the poll with what you think. Thanks again!

Ya no problem, thanks for the info. If its gaming mainly that you're using I'd probably go with the 2nd 670 and 3 monitors, when I see some games in surround it creates a totally different feel being able to see that much more area! All in all with gaming I'd say your setup now is pretty nice, but if you've got the must have upgrade itch, I'd probably go surround. I'm sure some more knowledgeable folks will chime in soon, perhaps those running a 2560x1440 or 1600p screen. Good luck with your decision biggrin.gif

Go with the 1440p monitor.

you may have to turn some settings down but its sooooooo worth it.

SO worth it.

Bought a catleap when it was the new hotness when I had a 580 and while I was sad that i couldn't run games at max settings anymore the Colors just made up for that alone. Along with the resolution. Dear god the resolution is amazing.
Small wonder.

Okay, its good to hear from people with experience, would you recommend the catleap? Or which one of the korean monitors would you recommend if I was to go with that?
