Still the Normal 7970 and GTX680 at stock still trade blows, so still can't say the GTX680 is totally better then it ether.
I am in no shape or form a Nvidia or AMD fanboy, if the color of your favorite team is getting in your way thats your own problem. I see facts

And the 7970 and 7970GE are the same chip. Just different clock speed, nothing a standard 7970 cant do within its own Driver software.

Though this thread is highly off topic

Sorry OP.

Appreciate the concern. No it doesn't need to be locked just moved to the correct Nvidia section. It may have confused other members the OP's intended discussion. smile.gif

if the OP is trying to decide which GPU to get out of the ones he's already listed...
compromise and get a GTX 670 OC.... I do not think you have one listed as the 670 FTW is in 680 price range.

Well I'm sticking with the 680 but thought it would be cool to post up some real world experience with these cards since I had the opportunity to play with all 4 of them. As in I owned all 4 through "horse trading" etc

you definitely have the motherboard to push that card and in SLi that motherboard runs x16/x16 on the GPU's...
I use the term 'gunz' when I speak about GPU's... LoL
I have the same motherboard (P8P67 WS Rev B3) and the NF200 chip is nice for SLi and the x16/x16 is beneficial at higher resolutions
especially Surround..
