iOS, Androids or Windows Phone? - Page 2

Android for sure, so much choice!

Choice of phone, choice of UI, Even choice of ROM if you're into that sort of thing. All part of Android's incredible customization potential.

As far as iOS goes, I can't really pass judgement, only owning an old iPod touch. From what I've seen from my mates and their iPhones, I'm not really impressed.

Still watching Windows Phone.... Watching and waiting. wink.gif

Considering this forum hates all things Apple and loves all things Android, it's going to be hard to get a real answer.

I love my iPhone 5, my brother loves his GS3, and my mom loves her Lumia 920.

Each person has their own preference. Test them all out at a local store, take your time and enjoy. There is no such thing as the "best" phone. Each person is different smile.gif

As for pro's and con's... there simply is no way to truly get into that without bickering ensuing so I'm just not going there.

i've had/have all 3 platforms, here's my thoughts:

ios works, it's easy to navigate, it's easy to learn, hardware looks great. however, requiring itunes to sync is a downfall for me because personally, i don't like itunes and i don't use itunes. if you're someone who's just getting into smartphones, and don't want to tinker, basically something that will work every time you pick it up, ios is for you. however, you're limited to very few hardware choices.

android is personally my favorite, but, i'm a tinkerer. i love flashing, modding, etc. android is a shape-shifter, works well with everything. jellybean is rock solid and has tons of awesome options. android has definitely matured into a contending platform. can also easily be modified and customized to look how you want it to. you have TONS of options for hardware.

windows phone, this is a tricky one. wp8 has definitely brought some excellent options and nokia is certainly putting out some great hardware to compliment wp8. the os is smooth, well integrated and hubs eliminate the need to go in and out of multiple apps for a simple tasks, it's all integrated. battery life is amazing. only drawback is there's still not a lot of options in the windows market place for apps, and the ones you want, never seem to be free. windows could turn around and surprise the mobile world if it had proper dev support.

I love my iphone 5 but I absolutely hate iTunes. Hate it with a passion, so I downloaded ifunbox. Awesome program to add or remove whatever you need.

Upgraded from an evo3d. Which was the last of all the android phones I've had in the past.

iPhone 5's software is just so smooth. I chose it over the gs3 just to see what it was like. As soon as I got home from the sprint store I jail broke it. Now I love it.

I got rid of my iPhone for a Samsung Galaxy S3 and hadn't looked back.

Best way for you to go Android would be with a Nexus. Is there a specific Provider you use? Nexus is one of the Best Android phones you can get currently. I simply love the S4 Pro. Amazing potential.

nexus 4, the only way to experience android is by using an AOSP device. anything other than a nexus will have that manufacturer's bloatware on it (blur, touchwiz, sense, etc).

however, you are limited to only GSM service with the nexus 4 (att, tmobile)

I am currently with T-Mobile.
I was thinking to get Nexus because of quad core and 2gb ram, but I read that it support 16gb sdhc, bad camera quality and bad battery life.

Oh, yeah, I was thinking to get my parent a Nokia because they are durable which is the major key for those two. Heh, I am afraid she'll drop it and break it if I grab another phone for her.
