Problem with 3Dmark06 - Page 5

Ok here is the latest

1 . 2 . 3 . 4.
A N N . N N . N . NY.
B Y . N . NYYYN . NN.

A and B relate to the RAM module

the numbers relate to the memory slot

The Y/N relate to wehther or not it ran 3dmark06 without crashing...y= yes..n = no.....

You may notice a random amount of Ns and Ys...this is because i tried the test a number of times for each slot....some more than others on slot 3 module B i managed to get 3 scores in a row before the 4th crashed..

Any suggestions?? HELP please

i'm thinking because the results are so random its not a RAM problem? the PSU is brand new to replace the old one (stil only 2 weeks old) as i thought it wasnt powerful enough...

Currently just running one GPU, have tried both GPUs and the results are the same so that rules them out

If anybody has any idea please help

cheers

Ok so after much messing around with different settings

I think the problem was that the Vcore was too low at 1.18V..that's how it is with default settings

i overclocked it to 3.33ghz

with a Vcore of 1.3 (still low i know, but it doesnt seem to boot any higher)

put it by the window as at 3.33 it was idling at 62 degrees :| on the floor

Managed to get a score of 7845 which im pleased with.

Isnt a score of 7845 a little low for those cards?

Sounds like an unstable CPU to me, I could be wrong though. Have you stability tested your CPU yet? Have you checked to see if your memory is stable? I'm not an intel guy, but 1.3 on the VCore seems a little low. Maybe you should 1)set your CPU back to default speeds or 2)get it overclocked and stable, then run 3DMark. Hope this helps!
