Looking for a new mouse/pad combo, fast.

Posted here a while back asking, but for some reason my thread didn't really go anywhere in terms of solid options so silly me put off making a purchase/choice and now the issue is more pressing because my current mouse/pad combo(Steelseries Kai/Steelseries HD) is failing and fast.

Ideally I am looking for is suggestions of good pairings of a mouse and pad, i.e a mouse/pad combo that is know to work well and fit in with what I have mentioned I am looking for below -

I play mostly FPS and MMORPGS

Mouse -
Fingertip/claw grip.
Small hands.
Mouse feet that will not wear out fast.

Pad-
Small/Medium size pad with a very smooth/consistent glide and low/moderate friction.

For cloth pads, shipping flat(not in a roll) or no need to flatten out before use due to material used is a must.
For hard pads, surface must be not one that is known to wear mouse feet fast.

I suggest checking out the G9x for laser mice or for a more budget friendly mouse I suggest the CM Spawn/ Xornet mice. I have heard that when using the CM Spawn and Xornet you need to use a light colored mouse pad so I ordered one of these.

That mouse pad is probably larger than what you want, but they might make one smaller from the same material. It is a thin mouse pad that I really like. I actually have a keyboard resting on top of part of the pad.

I have used the MX518 which was replaced with the g400 I believe, it is a very good mouse but a bit large for a claw grip mouse imo. I have large hands but I have found that I prefer a smaller/lighter mouse for claw/ finger tip grip. I really like the G9x and the CM Spawn/ Xornet mice for there size. I tend to lean more towards the CM mice because of lower cost, lighter weight, no software needed, and a over nice feel.

Xornet is 500/1000/2000 dpi
Spawn is 800/1800/3500 dpi

cm storm spawn or recon... though the EC2 EVO seems to fit your needs the most and its really a flawless mouse except that its rather pricey.

mousepad any of the usual cloth pads... quick, np, the zowie cloth pad or a puretrak complexity/talent

Not a claw or fingertip gripper so I will not try to recommend a mouse. However for mouse pad, the BEST is the WoW!Pad!!!

http://www.amazon.com/WOW-PAD-Notebook-Pad--Black-57LT29-002/dp/B000HWO7LE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1364657646&sr=8-3&keywords=WoW%21Pad

I have not found a mouse that does not work perfect on it. My current pad is approaching 6 years old and I just bought a replacement last week. I still do not need it yet but had it because I got it locally at a great place.

Zowie AM and Steelseries 9HD, should be pretty solid. I loved the mouse and I loved the pad, never used them at the same time tho.

Dude I am curious how many different mouse pads you have used? I have had most cloth types over the years. Also use Steelseries 9HD and QCK, couple of Razer pads, TTe Sports Landon and Dasher plus many others over the years. None of them have had the long term wear of the WoW!Pad. Also many of the larger pads are thick and if there is an overlap on the keyboard it gets put off balance, the WoW!Pad is as thick as a piece of paper.

"Competitive" players tend to be made of two basic types of purachers, those that use what a sponsor pays for them to use and the lemmings that follow along. I have actually used enough other mouse pads, many of the so called best to make an educated decision, did you?

I should have noted I am in the UK and would prefer options I can buy from "normal" retailers i.e Amazon etc so any super "exotic" stuff is off the table. On the subject of budget I could justify up to £100 for a solid mouse/pad combo.

Zowie AM and other Zowie mice seems to crop up a fair bit when I look at others looking for what I am after mouse wise, however I have found in the past it hard to get solid specific recommendations on a pad from first hand experience.

what conditions have to be met by the pad to be the BEST? long term wear??? really? like that is the only factor.
I had enough pads and I dont judge them based on how long they last because it stupid. I would buy the same pad every year over and over again for 20€ if it was that good.

but right now Im sitting comfortably on my puretrak complexity can can say that this will likely last me for years to come.
