the xspc k-2 tim is actually pretty good stuff, not great but not bad at all. as5 is overrated now. it was great but has been surpassed by others, think mx-4 and pk-1 wink.gif
dont de-lid unless you use the the good stuff, coollaboratory liquid pro or ultra.
you do have good temps now. when youre finally ready to push higher, then think about de-lidding. i wouldnt until then. nice voltage and temps on that clock speed thumb.gif

psst, de-lidding can drop temps from 10*C to 20+*C

That doesn't look so bad... if it would go as smooth as that.

WeLl my overclock that I had going was passing IBT and p95 for almost a day but as soon as I load up BF3 it it crashes. Thats the only thing I get a crash on.

vCore is not high enough then, I'm the same, put Crysis 3 on and boom "Crysis 3 Stopped Working" and back to the desktop. drop a few extra points on the vCore and its fine. but then your temps go up,

I can pass Prime 95, and IBT at 4.4Ghz at 1.18v but play a game and it goes pop,

put your vCore to 1.3v and run it again for 20 minutes, then drop it and run again till its stable

Works fine at 1.3v. With that voltage my p95 small fft hits abmax of 72. Sure wish I had something besides as5 and xspc k2 to delid with.

I have a tube of CLU ready for mine, well worth the £10 or so it costs, then have IC Diamond for the IHS to the Waterblock

Now just start dropping the vCore till you keep it stable, also get the Tech Inferno edition of RealTemp as its the one that can talk to Ivy Bridge Chips and get the temps accurately. I found my temps went up further because CoreTemp and RealTemp 3.0 were not reporting properly.

What increments do you recommend to start lowering it?
