Wireless Connected But Not?

My buddy recently had a router that crapped out and he wanted one like mine for Tomato firmware, router WRT54GL. I flashed and all was well, I broke the record and had his camera system up within 5 minutes (it's always painful) and I had all his laptops updated until I got to his wives Toshiba Satellite A205-S5843 (old). Now before he was running a basic linksys modem (can't recall model) I think it was a WRT54GS and I had it running WPA/WPA2 with AES and all was well. Same settings under tomato but her laptop will connect but not really connect....it says its connected under networks...the router detects her laptop but I can't access 192.168.1.1 and I don't have internet.

I verified all the information and it's accurate and I tried reseting modem/router but nothing seems to correct it, I also tried WPA and the same issue sprung up. If I reboot the system after connecting to the new wireless network it will be disconnected and wont attempt reconnect.

Thank you for any advice....my laptop has access to his network so I can try any ideas from my house.

Found the solution.....he decided around 4:30pm to tell me the story of having to reinstall his network drivers after they updated their last modem. I bypassed and got brand new ones from the actually manufacturer of the wireless card (2009 update vs 2011 update) and all is working well now. Thanks anyways.
