What graphics card to "BioShock Infinite"?

Better performance AMD Radeon cards should not surprise anyone. Radeon HD 7970 (not GHz Edition) is much faster than a GTX-680, while the usual (in other games) relationships are reversed. Only the GeForce GTX Titan holds up, but you have to remember that it is much more expensive.

I'm surprised at how well it runs for how beautiful the game looks.
The time when I get into the rocket which takes me to Columbia is just so breathtakingly beautiful, it had a visual impact like no other game I've ever played before.

For those experiencing stuttering like myself, here is a possible fix:
First off, If you have the PC version and get occasional stuttering, make sure you set the following in the XEngine.ini (the one in My Documents\My Games\Bioshock Infinite\...\ folder, not the steamapps folder)

- texture pool size to a higher value (512 or 1024)
- Min and max framerate to 59 and 61
- background texture streaming to false (this one may or may not give you issues, so try it if the other two don't give you good results)

Mind posting the exact commands? Would be more useful so we don't have to dig through the config to figure out what name correlates with texture pool size ect...

Dont use the last one. Bug out with some scripts in-game and you cant get past some events.

Set your poolsize like this. Your gpu vram-800. So if you have 2 gb use 1200

Yes, if the first commands help then don't use the last one. I can verify they have helped with the stuttering significantly yessir.gif

FYI the file in your user docs/My Games is regenerated at launch (or partly, it's altered at launch), so editing the config located in the install directory seems to work best for me. If you don't believe it's changed on start, use a program like Notepad ++, run the game. you will be prompted about an external program changing the file, hence why altering some of it's options would be ill advised. I've edited the install config, works fine here.

[edit] I guess some settings regen, some don't, poolsize doesn't. I know a few do, so far none worth me saying anything about.

Oh, and some settings don't change even if you change the main cfg. SOOOO
