What's worth it for the money.I don't want to buy another card for the next 3-4 years.

My current build.

its hard to say. The 670 sli is quite potent, and has more VRAM options. the 690 only has 2gb per core, but you will get more raw power from the 690.

If you are running 1080p, i would recommend the 690. but if you plan on going higher resolutions in the future, i would go with the 670 sli, with 4gb vram on each card.

GTX 670 SLI for sure, the performance between them is almost identical, but 670 SLI is cheaper than 690. Plus 690 is only have 2 GB effective per GPU.

So you will get a same performance (maybe less maybe more) for a cheaper price than a 690.

Heaven bench puts my Titan 10% slower than stock 670 SLI, the 670s and 690 are definitely quicker. Titan would give you an upgrade path to SLI later on though. 690 quad SLI scaling is horrible.

If price is no concern then SLI Titans is the way to go. If price matters then two 670s or one 690 can outperform a single Titan by 20%.

The problem with the 670 at 4gb is that extensive testing has shown that the card simply does not have enough power to use it in a single card or sli:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/01/08/asus_geforce_gtx_670_directcu_ii_4gb_gpu_review
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/01/14/asus_geforce_gtx_670_directcu_ii_4gb_sli_review/1

So I think the question is more about two 680s at 4gb vs the 2gb 690. I am assuming you will water cool whatever gpu(s) you get because I tested two 670 ftw cards and they were way too loud.

I decided to go with one 690 because I am new to water cooling and dealing with one card is easier. Two 4gb 680s plus two waterblocks and backplates, sli water bridge, and a few more fittings is not cheap at all.

As the tests show, 4gb is not really worth it on the 670, and to buy those with all the water cooling gear needed to cool both, I am not sure that is worth the investment with the 700 series coming sometime in the near future. That said, two overclocked 670 2gb is a very good setup that can perform very well.

I went with the gtx 670 sli because they were so much cheaper compared to a gtx 690 and performance are pretty close.

True. I tried two 670 but they were too loud on air to keep them below the 70c throttle point. So two 670s plus all the full cover water gear is just a little less than what I spent on a 690 plus water gear.

I went with the 690 simply because it has more than 50% fewer points of failure vs. two cards with water cooling. So on air two 670s is definitely cheaper than a 690, but underwater plus added failure points makes the 690 a reasonable choice also.

I have a hard time keeping them under 70c atm, but that is because i am stuck using my cousins case (with no fans) untill i recieve my Corsair Obsidian 900D (Yes i know the case is kinda overkill, but i like the design and i want to try out watercooling at some point)
*edit*
About the noise, i use a logitech G930 as headset, and i cant hear anything around me
