Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Vs. Corsair H80i ??? - Page 3

IMHO, the Antec Kuhler 620 is the best balance of price, cooling power and quiet for the Phenom II. You can often find it on sale for ~$55 (which I see on pricebat right now). This will give you what you need to wring the max reasonable overclock out of your CPU without breaking the bank. Temps will be kept under 55 degrees, even under extreme load and quite high voltages, all while making very little noise. If you get yourself another 120mm fan for about ~$10 and put it on the 'pull' side of the radiator, you'll enhance the cooling performance even more.

No, it won't give you the final 5-10% extra overclocking headroom that a crazy >$200+ custom loop cooler will, but it's also $55. The fact that it leaves tons of space around the CPU area and won't affect your memory access is just so damned nice, too. I'll never go back to a massive conventional HSF ever again.

excessive different of price, like comparing Ferrari vs Tata

Take Noctua U12S, slim, cheaper and better and no problems with pumps and warranty.

I have had the H100i that failed on me so I used the D14 while my H105 was in the mail. All cooled very well.. H105 so far is the best and teh cleanest looking IMO.

Sorry to bring in a old thread.
