This looks like it would be ideal for me to use with my laptop as My main goal in purchasing a sound card for my laptop is for the head phone amp. But I am confused about 1 thing. Does this support EAX 5 or does it support EAX at all? I see no information as to what audio chip is used in the device.

If anyone owns 1 of these or is familiar with it, Please let me know. Thanks!

It supports EAX 5 and has an x-fi chip inside. I have a friend with one and he loves it. I personally have never heard it.

Except for its lack of an EQ, that is a great sound card. It is unfortunate that many people overlooked it.

Sounds like a winner then. I think I will order 1. From what i am reading, It has support for Linux also. That is a big plus.
