Skylit wants a new video card. 660 or 660 TI? - Page 2

Here's an example of the oc I got instantly.
1100core
1575mem
+20% power via msi
100% stable and doesn't even go over 70c with the stock sapphire cooling. It's basically a bit faster than a 680 for $265 AND crisis 3 + bioshock infinite codes to do whatever you want with

DON'T SWITCH TO NV biggrin.gif

Kinda wanted Nvidia this round to take advantage of specific features that reduce rendering latency (built into NCP), but seems there's healthy competition this year.

I currently run a 5850 flashed with 5870 bios. Bumped to 900/1250 via CCC. For a 3 year old card, I amazed these $200-300 new gen cards don't flat out destroy it.

This gen is all about efficiency. On the AMD side, GCN is more about compute (per watt) and the transition to HSA. Tahiti is a compute monster.

If you want NVIDIA, go for 660Ti or higher. GTX 660 and below don't have software voltage control (i2c) on any reference boards.
