Never mind, hadn't read the entire thread. Sod it.

Except that it's usually pretty hard to do when it's all personal preference.

It's not that hard to look up what kind of grip a mouse is designed for, nor is it hard to check the weight. As for the shape, this is easily checked with a display model in a shop.
You can't check everything, but it's not hard to get a pretty good idea of what not to buy.

OP: I was in a similar situation after using a Microsoft Basic Mouse for a long time (though mine was a 1.0a); when it finally started to break after many years of use, I wanted to switch to a "gaming" mouse with a nice sensor, but the ones I tried (especially the DeathAdder) all felt laughably clumsy compared to the Basic Mouse due to their size and weight.

After some diversions with smaller, often less-known mice of varying degrees of weirdness, I'm now using a Team Scorpion Zealot Jr.; it's quite small and light, so you can maneuver it with your fingertips like you can with a Basic Mouse, but it's also using a top-notch sensor-- an Avago 3090 with the upgraded, 4000dpi firmware. Maybe this, or something similar, would work well for you?

I am extremely offended.

Every PC gamer knows 100-130FPS with a 100Hz-144Hz monitor is necessary. Imagine the nightmares one would have if they played at 60FPS with a 60Hz monitor.

Let's not even speak of the blasphemy of using a mouse that cannot do over 1.5m/s in today's raw input world.

Just saying...

Why did you get G400 when G100s is about to release?

Thread Starter
Because last time I checked the stores (I live in UK, Reading) the only gaming mouse available from the store was the Logitech G400. There is an out of town store PCWorld but I swear NOT to buy any mouse or keyboard product other than Logitech or Microsoft because any other companies are not as reputable and do not have good quality and also have 'flashy' designs for boy racer type computer users and that is not me. I have decided its better to be safe than sorry.

When is the release date of the Logitech G100s in the UK?
