The only problem is the warranty will be void if you take the stock cooler off
I don't know where people get this information...I've RMA'd multiple cards where I'd taken off the stock cooler with no problems. You just need to put hte stock cooler back on when you RMA it.

Which one should i go with? The triple fan one is 30e more expensive than the dual fan. Is it worth it?
Honestly I wouldn't get one of those coolers, they're pretty pricey. If you're spending as much as 120 bucks, you're better of selling your card and using htat money towards getting a newer quieter card. If you go that route go for any Asus DCII based card because they have giant heatsinks and are among the quietest you can buy. As for keeping your current card, if you want to do that you can easily find out if it is in fact reference by going to www.coolingconfigurator.com

The twin turbo II is 34€ and the xtreme III is 72€
Im gonna go with the twin turbo most likely it seems to be not too far away from the xtreme 3 in temps but it's so much cheaper.. I could grab replacement for the nexus fans with the money saved biggrin.gif

I wasnt able to figure out how to exactly find out is my pcb reference. I found good pics of the pcb but no reference to compare it to... Can someone help? smile.gif

No plans to make it means it isn't reference.

There still seems to be the same mounting holes aroubd the chip as in reference. Could i be able to fit the twin turbo cooler in?

I think you should get in touch with the manufacturer of the cooler to confirm before anything.

Buy another case if you want silence biggrin.gif

When a case has more holes than a sieve what do you expect ? Top, side and front vents and so on will always be noisy. thumb.gif

Do you really need the side vent? Cover the side panel with something temporary and see if that helps - the gpu card will be omitting noise in that area.

Then get some acoustic paneling and block it if it makes a difference.

And a slightly warmer case is better than a noisy case, everybody seems to want the lowest temps they can get. If your cpu or gpu runs 5 degrees higher its not going to burn out unless you were close to critical. thumb.gif
