Some cards are not meant to be SLIed even with a bridge, because Nvidia wants you to buy a better one, especially on the Quadro sector since they cost so much to begin with.

Point in case, my 9400 GT



Still, there are mods you can do to either activate the bridge, or do software SLI which goes on the same PCI-E lanes.

If I'm not mistaken, you can actually "SLI" the Quadro cards. However, its a different type of SLI. You pair it with a Tesla card and you use a configuration called Maximus. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that on Nvidia's site.
