Ai Tweaker
Ai Overclock Tuner: manual
Turbo Ratio:45
PLL Overvoltage:disabled

Ai Tweaker (in the DIGI+ VRM section)
Load-Line Calibration:ultra high
VRM Frequency:350
VRM Fixed Frequency Mode:manual
Phase Control:optimized
Duty Control:tprobe
CPU Current Capability:100%
CPU Voltage:manual 1.340v
DRAM Voltage:auto
VCCSA Voltage:auto
VCCIO Voltage:auto
CPU PLL Voltage:1.7000
PCH Voltage:auto
CPU Spread Spectrum:disabled

Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology:enabled
Turbo Mode:enabled
C1E:enabled
C3 Report:disabled
C6 Report:disabled

Vcore Manual set(BIOS)
@1.340 -- BSOD 0x124 @Prime CustomBlend after couple of seconds. CPU-z Vcore: 1.336 sometimes 1.328 (That's why BSOD showed)
@1.350 (Phase and Duty : Extreme) -- Windows Welcome Screen loading circle kept on loading..
@1.360 (Phase and Duty : Extreme) -- Same

So why higher voltage cannot get me past Welcome screen.

EDIT:
Freshly installed Win 7 Ultimate x64 in another drive so that I would not corrupt my main os.
Installed Drivers/Programs:

Nvidia 314.22 driver
Intel Lan driver
cpuz
gpuz
furmark
google chrome

realtemp, intel burn test and prime95 is portable.

This this system what you have listed in your sig? Sometime CPU's have a "dead zone" (i forget the lingo) but basically, it's a grey area where you need to boost a crap ton of voltage to get it to run, then it does fine after that.

Hopefully someone can jump in and use the correct terminology

That's my only guess now

BTW: while you're overclocking, turn off LLC (vdroop)

llc(vdroop)?
LLC minimizes the effect of vdroop. thats what i know.
yeah right, specs in rig at my sig.

Edit:
@4.6 1.40v,manual -- cpuz vcore 1.392v -- BSOD 0x101 after some minutes of Custom Blend
Phase & Duty Control : Extreme
Cpu Capability I think was 120%
Ultra High LLC still.
C1E now just auto.
PLL Voltage : Auto

Crap 1.392 is MORE than sufficient for a 4.6 haha.
My 2600k is a maniac and a very hungry one indeed if thats the case.

EDIT:
Now @4.5 @-0.025 offset, Ultra high llc, vcore @cpuz while doing prime custom blend = mostly 1.360(my stable vcore), but fluctuates up to 1.354 and sometimes 1.368, but every second its fluctuating between 1.354-1.360 so fast. it wont stay @1.360 C1E enabled, other c3 and c6 disabled.
My first overclock 2 mos. ago i think was with -0.005 offset @4.5 = 1.360 flat vcore. on blend load not custom with more ram used.

I see, it seems like your CPU likes/requires the volts.

Are you planning on increasing vcore over 1.4? You might've hit a wall

For my permanent overclock I would have liked my vcore to be @1.35v, but then 4.5 needs 1.360v. But this vcore @4.5 was only tested using Blend 3hrs+ 1-2 mos. ago. This 2600k was bought March 2012, never OCed it until February 2013. So my permanent oc will be @4.5 1.360v but I want to achieve some higher clocks then after stabilizing that certain clock,e.g. 4.9GHz, I will be going back to the permanent config.

Might have hit the wall? I hope not. haha.
