Acer Aspire One 0756 x64 - Juicing

Hi Folks

My first post in many years so go easy on me. I recently acquired an Acer Aspire One 0756 x64. - Production date on case was February 2013.

I want to be able to beef the specs up a bit. I am going to drop 8 gigs of ram in (x2) 4 Gig DDR3 PC3-12800 Non ECC - Suggestions?

I am about to pop in an SSD - 240 or 512 - Not sure yet. Suggestions?

Now the dual core Celerons are going to be the bottle neck. I am only expecting about a year/year and a half of life out of this before I move on, so I am wondering if somebody in the know, could make some suggestions regarding the process involved in beefing up the core speed... would be nice to push the CPU to at least 1.4/1.6 Ghz as it is currently running at 1.1 Ghz

Any thoughts ASAP on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think the best way to get the most "speed" out of the computer is by getting an SSD. You'll notice a boost of performance in terms of loading up starting windows, loading apps, etc. You'll still be limited with SATAII speeds if you decide to get one of the new SSD's.

Look into Samsung 830, 840 redface.gif, or 840 PRO
