Need a new laptop *canada*

Thread Starter
What is your maximum budget? $1200,00 CAN

What country are you in? Canada (Québec)

What will be the uses of this laptop? Light to mild gaming No AAA games , Office 2010 and browsing

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you? No

What screen size do you require? Biggest possible, i like good resolution

What screen resolution do you require? would like 1080p if possible

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay? New if possible, not looking for anything older then SB

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet) 3-5h is good enought for my work use.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings? bg1 & 2 , torchlight 1 &2, adventure *puzzle solving game* etc no shooter or anything, i have a desktop for this

What operating system do you need? (if any) Win 7

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.) I would like the top case built of somthing that dont scratch. I don't want a scratch proof lead made laptop either

How much hard drive space do you need? I can live with a 128GB ssd =) (it could be 64 too, it's what i use now on my 1201T )

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.) Blueray is a plus, webcam mic vga is all waste. I need at least 1 USB 3.0 and HDMI

Is there anything else we need to know? no funky colors either.

The second most important thing beside resolution would be a GOOD keyboard. I am picky on this, I am a big fan of Mech keyboard and i find it hard to spend time on a laptop... Buty this time it will be necessary.

I apologize for a slight delay, but I believe AMD A10-4600m with ATI Radeon HD 7670m 1GB/2GB is a decent budget gaming laptop for your games. I mean, those guys don't require a powerful GPU nor CPU and APU CROSSFIRE is powerful to handle your games.

Again, I apologize if the laptop specs doesn't fit your need or too weak in your taste. Honestly, there's no point getting a gaming laptop when you aren't playing any hardcore games such as MoH:W, BF3, BF4, Crysis 1, 2 and 3 and etc.

You can save up some left over money from buying AMD laptop for a SSD.

Second laptop choice I can think of is i7 with GT650m or GTX 660m.
Maybe Lenovo IdeaPad Y580?

Not sure Lenovo is available in Canada same to with HP/Acer.
