Will a new line of motherboards with PCI-E 3.0 be released as well? I m on the verge of building an intel machine, but if this is in the near future I would like to hold out and wait.

if all I just read is true(and man do I hope it is). It looks like I will have worthy upgrade to retire my trusty Penom II! Lets take it home AMD.

Asus has already released a 3rd gen 990FX with PCI-E 3.0.

If this is the board you are referring to:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131877

Does Newegg just not have it listed correctly?

Would it then make it better than:

I posted on couple of threads that Steamroller could deliver up to 25-30% of improvements and it seems I was right... But I was wrong about one thing, it seems that power consumption will be noticably lower while have 30% of improvements... So I think Steamroller FX 8550 on stock will beat i5 3570k and i5 4570k(haswell) at stock while it will be nearly at level of i7 3770k. Thats a rough estimation...

One of the reasons why dual-core Bulldozer modules [the same may be said about Piledriver] are not completely efficient is because they have only one instruction decoder for two ALUs and one FPU. With steamroller, AMD not only incorporated two decoders per module, but also increased instruction cache size (to lower i-cache misses by 30%), enhanced instruction pre-fetch (the number of mis-predicted branches is down by 20% compared to Bulldozer ) as well as improved max-width dispatches per thread by 25%. AMD believes that Steamroller will provide 30% improvement in ops per cycle.

Like this quote and most of the article, it seems the numbers are comparing SR to BD, not PD. So I'd not bank on seeing 30% more than PD. Gotta keep things in perspective, a tiny change in how they word things can completely change the meaning of their statement.

Plus, 30% over BD seems much more believable than 30% over PD.

I really hope they can deliver. I really do. I just wanna see them get some sort of goodness even with the budget market. At least. If this one comes out a flop then there is no hope left for AMD.
But if they release a great performer then hell. I might even forget Skyline and go for it.
