New Toshibe Need help Changing O/S

Hi,

I bought this

Toshiba S855-S5378 15.6" Laptop running win8. My opinion is if u dont have a touch screen pc, win8 is a disaster.

I have a 840 256g SSD arriving early this week. Im looking to do a fresh install of win7 asap.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147189

Doing this upgrade will I need to save/download the drivers for the mobo ?

All i remember about building my rig listed below is build/insert win7, boom.. working.

This laptop is my first so I am a complete noob on swapping o/s and hardrives.

Secondary question, If i just migrate win8 to the SSD and decide later that I want win7, wiping and installing 7 on the SSD leave any negative issues with the SSD?

Thanks in advance.

I've read that its a bad idea to ghost an OS from a HDD to a SSD. Better off doing a fresh install if possible.

As for all the drivers, Win 7 is pretty mature and the laptop is most likely going to boot and run just fine with nothing but Windows at first. Then you can get it online and go download all the drivers you want.

If you want to save time, download them all now onto a flash drive and then you'll already have them ready to go after you install Windows.
