best fans for radiator, what am I looking for?

I am currently using a swiftech radiator and right now, not very happy with the fans I have. I know that it is hard to get just the perfect fans but I was wondering what you guys might recommend. I was looking at the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans but the cost is a little higher than most and I would need 2 of them, just seems kind of steep for fans...but anyways would just like to know what you guys think and I am looking for more on the quiet side if possible. I did hear that silverstone had some nice fans for rads but I really do not remember what they were.

you could get some Gentle Typhoon AP-15s and undervolt them if they are too loud. they are really good radiator fans for the price.

I have been skimming through the web for a while myself. I personally would not recommend Silverstone fans. What is the exact Swiftech radiator you are using?

@Geek Branden

I am currently using the Swiftech MCR220-QP Res R2.

Noctua NF-F12 fans would do well on a low fin density radiator.

+1. I am using these on my Coolgate rad, and GTs on the Thermochill. I had GTs on all, however, did not like the tone I was hearing. Helix fans fixed that, and I saw little difference, if any, in temps. All subjective. No standardized testing involved.

You could also look into akasa viper or some bgear b-blasters (I have heard good things about them) alternatively some cougar fans are also highly praised. Ma. So many worthy choices

Big fan of the Bitfenix Spectre Pros they come in every size so it is easy to outfit your case with matching fans and they push a good amount of air through my rad in just push.

I actually had 2 of those pwm version, one of them works the other one died the second I plugged it in. It just randomly stopped working, that is why I am trying to stay away from them.

Edit: I just found 2 noctua nf-p12 fans at my house, these are not the nf-f12s but they should work great with my rad anyways.

P.S. Going to check out the spectre pros, the price and look seems worth trying out.
