- Double Elimination finals
- Two main divisions and one OCN only division
- Competitive - Intended for Platinum to Grand Masters players
- Casual - Restricted to Platinum and below
- OCN Only
- To qualify for the OCN-Only division you must have an OCN account created on or before March 31st with at least 10 posts
- Participating in the OCN-Only division does not exclude you from participating in any other division
- Players may register play up in divisions but not down (A gold may participate in Competitive but a Diamond may not compete in Casual).
The Competitive and OCN-Only Divisions will be the only two with prizes, the Casual Division is intended as a for fun experience for players who simply enjoy playing StarCraft 2 with no pressure. We realized early on that including any sort of prize for the lower division put it at risk of attracting people using smurfed or alternate accounts which would ruin the entire division's purpose.
Competitive Division Prizes
OCN-Only Division Prizes
- 1st Place - $1,000
- 2nd Place - $500
- 3rd Place - $250
- 4th Place - $100
- 5th through 8th Place - $25
- 1st Place - $300

- 3rd Place - $50
- 4th Place - $25
Each Division will be run as its own independent tournament. As stated earlier OCN members may participate in either the Competitive or Casual Divisions in addition to the OCN-Only division. We'll release an official ruleset closer to the actual start of match play once we can give definite answers as to how many groups and rounds there will be. In general the basic structure of a group stage progressing into qualifiers will not be changed.
To register for a main division and/or the OCN-Only Division follow through and complete this form:
Registration will be open from Tuesday, April 9th to Tuesday, April 16th. The Binary Beast tournament will be created on Wednesday the 17th and matches will begin on Friday, April 19th.
A ruleset will be posted once we have a proper idea of how many participants we'll have for each division. In last month's League of Legends Challenge
we started out with a ruleset but ended up having to change pretty much the entire thing based on the incredibly large turnout we got. Since we hate guessing we're simply going to wait before announcing a schedule or any other precise details.
I’ve been in touch with the current tournament admin and will confirm the following dates for the tournament and broadcast of the 1st OCN Starcraft II tournament. We thank everyone with their patience and understanding during the Starcraft II HotS Tournament. We would appreciate your feedback at email@example.com so that we can continue to improve and provide the highest quality tournaments for our community and the eSports community.
This was intended to be an NA based tournament.
Although it’s been stated before, I would like to remind everyone, if you do not reply to scheduling emails or do not show up for your match after notice has been issued your opponent, you will be given a walkover. We will try our best to accommodate players schedules but if a new time is not a possible option due to insufficient notice or scheduling conflicts, the show must go on… Please don’t take it negatively, we want everyone to have fun and enjoy the tournament progression.
