Suggestions Welcome: New-ish Engrossing RPG's?

Hi all,

Can anyone suggest an RPG (non-MMO) on PC? To give you an idea of the RPG's that I have enjoyed end-to-end I'll list a few below.

As of late I find myself a little bored with gaming... I've always enjoyed a story that has you hooked, as well as character progression and I'm hoping that there has been a game or two I have missed along the way.

I'm not looking for anything retro or a PS emulator JRPG. Just a recent RPG with a great story, gameplay, and graphically immersing.

I'll also include a list of those suggested, updating this post for others who may be in the same boat smile.gif

Recent RPG's I've already played:
- The Witcher Series
- The Elder Scrolls Series
- Final Fantasy Series
- Mass Effect Series

Suggested Titles So-Far:
- DA Origins (played, but didn't finish)

All help is appreciated! smile.gif

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are highly moddable and highly recommended. Or Deus Ex: HR is very good also.

Yeah, I'm a huge Fallout 3 and New Vegas fan too. Those a re my favorite sandbox games of all time. With the right mods those games are amazing.

Alpha Protocol is highly under rated. Just don't go expecting a top notch action game. Its a great rpg with decent gameplay. The branching storyline is very good.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines is a little older but still holds up well imo. That is one of my favorite rpgs of all time. Character development in that game is second to none. The setting is also very refreshing. Just make sure to install the unofficial patch.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is also a great game. The expansion mask of the betrayer is also great, some people prefer it to the original campaign. They're both worth playing.

If you're into sandbox titles give Stalker SOC a shot. The atmosphere in that game is amazing.

Edit: I forgot about Mount and Blade Warband. That game rocks. Its difficult to describe exactly what the game is all about and the different ways that you can play.

If this was for older RPGs, I could rattle off at least 5-6 with little thought.

Another vote for DA Origins and Fallout.

Also:
Dawn of War stuff, 2 is my favorite and it isn't unnecessary to have played the earlier ones to jump in. Still consider them RPG but also its a squad based rts, really fantastic game though.
Knigts of the Old Republic. Might be too old for what you're looking for but had to mention anyways. Such a stellar rpg.
Bastion if you feel like getting your indie jam on.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is awesome as well and plenty modern. Very immersing, great lore, and more content than you could possibly know what to do with. Its almost like Elder Scrolls meets Dragon Age in terms of gameplay.

Simply have to play fallout 1 and 2 if you're into old style rpg with story and character dev. I heard stalker call of pripyat has good story and rpg elements in a fps. There's always revisiting other old games like knights of the old republic.
