Quiet/Cool Case for H100 - Page 2

While it isn't "flashy", I love the Corsair 550D. It is built very well, has a lot of nice features for an all-in-one water cooled system (I used the Kraken x60) and it has sound absorbing foam on all the panels so it runs ULTRA quiet, even when I overclock the 3770K to 4.7GHz.

How did you find temps on other things like the GPU?

I'm in a similar boat as the OP I'm looking to get a nice case for a h100i that's nice and cool and quiet

For the 4 systems I built using the Kraken and the 550D I didn't water cool the video card. They are just stock 560Ti's on air. But having said that, when I run Folding@Home on them the CPU's are between 65-70C after 16 hours and the GPU is about 62-67C. Again, those are after 16 hours running at 100% load on everything. When I'm just using them for surfing and general application use, the temps are 24-27C for the CPU and 24-39C for the video card. Those are with stock fan profiles.

how quiet is the 550d? the only thing turning me off atm is the silver bezel which looks pretty ugly imo.

It is very quiet, especially with the 140.2 all-in-one Kraken x60 water cooling kit in it. The lack of noise is party why I picked it. The other reason was I wanted a case that wasn't something "over the top" looking, because these machines were going into my companies office. At idle, from 2-3 feet away, I honestly can't hear it at all. In addition to the sound absorbing foam on everything, the fans are mounted on rubber shock absorbers and the case comes with additional ones which I used to mount the AiO water cooling kit.

I don't mind the brushed silver I/O panel so much, it breaks up the otherwise all black case just a bit. I imagine it would be very easy to mask off a couple things and hit it with black spray paint if you really wanted to.
