MSI z77 Mpower manual question

Thread Starter
OK, I have two 4 gig memory modules MSI Z77 MPOWER Optimized (Yellow LED) DDR3 1600 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB). Do I populate dimm sockets 1 and 3 or 2 and 4? MSI website somewhat contradictory. Also, Newegg sent one 8 gig module free with the board. Does this board support one memory module only? Mosy other builds I have done require a matched pair.

Good day

Slot 2 and 4 would be the correct setup for two dimm's!
It should also support one dimm I would believe, but then you would loose the dual channel memory future, which you want to use! smile.gif Although, I have not tried with one on my board, as I always use as much as needed for Dual/triple/quad channel depending on the motherboard.
