Ok guys what about this.

CPU :
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...2&GroupID=1674

Video card :
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...5335&GroupID=0

Motherboard :
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...4561&GroupID=0

Memory :
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...4775&GroupID=0

Would this setup be good for overclocking. Allso would it run all the new games like bf 2142 on max settings?

Get a different motherboard, that is the p5b which does not overclock well. THe ones that overclock well is the p5b-deluxe and the p5b-e.

The memory part you may want to get just 1 stick of 1gb ddr2-6400 ram instead. Then you'd have the choice to upgrade by just adding a 2nd stick later on. 2gb will help the performance of your pc greatly.

Looking good...

Except the Motherboard. I would consider the P5B-D.

That looks really nice. That E6300 can overclock nicely, nice DDR2 800 Ram, and that X1950Pro should play many games nicely, even at max, depending on your monitor. It can play BattleField 2 & 2142, Half Life: 2 Lost Coast, Counter-Strike: Source, Doom 3, and Quake 4, and F.E.A.R. maxed out. And if you get low FPS at max the only thing you need to do is add another 1GB and overclock the CPU to about 2.5GHz and the overclock the GPU.

You already purchased the P5B? If so, IMHO you ought to return it and get the P5B-D. You will not regret doing so. As stated the mobo's OC'ing properties are somewhat....lackluster.

Sorry for beating a dead horse, I just don't wanna see another member regret their choices. I did the same thing that you did, but I cancelled the MoBo and got the better OC'er. I am with the decision.

Oh, and if your thinking of overclocking the GPU or CPU you might want to consider getting Arctic Silver 5. It's ~$7 US but it drops temps by a few degrees C. You can apply that on your Sapphire GPU Cooler and maybe get an Arctic Freezer for your CPU later on if you want to overclock it to 2.4-3.0GHz.
Linkage:
Arctic Silver 5

EDIT - Found it on a UK site.
