Hazy graphics with new gpu. Something wrong?

Hey guys. I just swapped out my old hd4670 for a gtx560ti and connected it to my hd monitor via a mini hdmi to hdmi cable because the gtx560ti only has mini hdmi and 2 dvi ports. So the problem is, before with the hd4670 the color and everything was nice and bright/vibrant, but now it's all hazy. Like the whole screen is a bit misty so the color is not vibrant anymore. And it's not in some areas but around the whole screen equally. I can especially notice this when i play starcraft2. The vibrantness is not there. Hazy/foggy. What can cause this? I messed with the nvidia controls and monitor bright/contrast controls but those didnt really do much. It helped with the color but the mistiness is still there. Maybe the cable is bad? Should i try a new cable? Or even try dvi port on the gpu? Thanks

Honestly I'd try a different set of drivers first. Usually this happens to me before my drivers are installed (on my 1080p monitor). So before you try hardware I'd look at drivers.

Do you have another cable? Could be loose or maybe a bad one or it boils down to not a proper driver installation or your video card isn't seated right not sure...

How did you remove the old nVidia AMD driver? Uninstalling from control panel isn't enough as some files are left over which can cause problems.
You need to use driver sweeper or manually remove the old files.

Sounds like you are getting incorrect HDMI black levels. When I went form 4890's to a GTX 670 I had a similar issue with washed out colors. It was fixed by going in to the monitors settings and setting HDMI black levels from standard to low. If you cant find that type of setting in your monitor then you can try and use a DVI port instead of the HDMI.

There are no old Nvidia drivers. He used ATi.

Something to mind, nvidia do have less vibrant colours compared to AMD (can change this in the drivers), but the hazyness shouldn't be there.
