Also, what volts are you using for your card @87% asic for both mem and core?

Thanks a bunch for your sapper.rom. For some reason, I got a lot better results overclocking with the sapper than my msi OC ones.

Yes it is water cooled. I have taken very good care of it. I can run 1300/1700 with 1.22v on core and default voltage on memory 24/7 with great temps. +10% on the power.

That Sapper BIOS helped my card go faster as well. Glad that it has helped some people out.

Is it correct btw that the 11196-16-20G is the infamous "2L" I keep reading about?

Also - dont use Furmark to test stability. Id run either Heaven demo on loop to get a baseline - then use other games to make sure - i find Bioshock Infinite, Starcraft 2 and Tomb Raider quickly show artifacting where Heaven wont.

Could anyone confirm that the rev.2 of the gigabyte 7950 can indeed be voltage unlocked with the right BIOS?. All I read is that it's hardware locked..

Would you happen to have a link, are you sure this goes for rev.2 as well?

Wow thats great news to hear! biggrin.gif Was thinking about buying from amazon instead of newegg, but thats cool too. The picture is probably not updated... could you possibly take a picture of the box of the video card? If you still have it? I heard that the one with the sparkling 7950 font is the 6+6 pin and the one with the pure black 7950 font (this is on the front cover of the box) is the second revision with the 8+6 pin ? Or am i wrong?

How long ago did you buy your card? From what I read across the internet, they started using crappier GPU's and memory for the Vapor-X now and it's nowhere near the quality it had.
This card is bought in February 2013. Also i have, what i think is the 7970 PCB-design, with 8+8pin PCIE-power.

What temperatures do you reach on those VRMs and what software do you use to "heat it"? Furmark?

We got pretty much the same card as i can see. 8+8pin and so on, what part# and SKU# you got?

I have no issues at all with the VRMs. Have you tried to tighten the screws on the back of the card? If maybe they are a little loose.
I removed my cooler completely and added some new thermal paste.

Doesn't the Vapor-X come with a custom PCB, not the 7970? Despite the fact that it has 8+8?
