HAF-X Water Cooling advice

Thread Starter
So while waiting for the 900D, ive grown tired of my stock intel HS and decided to build my loop in the HAF-X instead and get the 900D later on. I was just wondering what the optimal radiator setup would be. I have two 240mm rads and a single 120mm rad. Which rads should I use and where should I place them?

I would use the two 240 rads. wait a minute, I did. One in the top, that's a given. Fans on intake. As for the other? I have mine mounted on the back with a Swifteck rad box. If you choose to go that way, I'd spend the extra cash for the Koolance variant. It looks sturdier and it looks like it will stand out further from the case.

Year, 240 up top is given. I want to keep it internalized. Is there another spot for the second 240? Or should I just do the 120 on the back and call it a day

240 on the top and for another one You'll have to remove hdd cage. There is no other way if You want them inside your chasis
post #5 of 8
put the 240 on top the 120 in the rear exhaust spot that would be enough for a cpu. you can look at my build it has a 320 on top 120 on rear.

In fact, if just cooling the CPU, then the one 240 in top is enough for now.

you can put a 360 on top and one 140 or 200 in front if drive bays are removed. I've got a 360 inside on top and running one rad at back on the Koolance mount. Check my build log for ideas. I could also probably put a 120 at back. So to some up:

1X 360 on top (45mm, push setup and i see a few mm spare)
1x 140 or 1X200 infront with drive cage removed
1X120 at back
You can evens fit a 2X120 at bottom if you can move psu elsewhere.
