HIS 7950 IceQ X²

Should i wait or buy HIS 7950 IceQ X² (2x8 pci-e power) OC-ed is better then 7970 Ghz OC-ed
Also about CFX (crossfire) it have frame stuttering like SLI ? so for 2 gfx is better to buy new gtx 670/680 as it don't have stuttering frame.

No microstutter from what I've noticed unless you are running vsync and can't maintain a steady fps.

From benchmarks I have seen the HIS 7950 IceQ X2 is not better than the 7970 GHz OC edition unless you can link me something showing otherwise.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1377639/got-my-his-7970-icedx2-ghz-and-overclocked-it

i just got 2 7970 HIS ghz edition, there is no way 7950 will OC better then the 7970 in ghz edition were did u get that, if that was true then we would all be buying 7950's why not,

in all reality HIS 7970 icedx2 ghz is the best card out there specially for the price.. i just switched back to this cards from my gtx 680 msi twin frozr, and these cards are killing 680's in everygame, crysis 3 i was getting 90-100 in gtx 680 sli with SPIKE LAG< now im getting 100-140 with no spike lag at all, and no frame sturrering in crysis on bf3.

You guys pleast share the ASIC scores of each card and have a bench off between the two cards.

Both of these cards are very well made.

I would be surprised if the HD7970 is greater than 5% better than the HD7950. Very nice cards.

Nevermind, I found where you pulled those numbers from: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/HD_7950_X2_Boost/31.html

You do realize that they overclocked the 7950 iceq x2 to 1210 MHz core (27% overclock) and 1500 MHz memory (20% overclock) and you're trying to compare it to a stock 7970 GHz OC. Overclock any 7970 to those speeds and it leaves any 7950 in it's dust. My reference sapphire 7970 could do 1250 core with a reference cooler and stock volt but I don't see the need currently /shrug.

Here is what you get when you compare stock to stock

plus that it if he gets a lucky 7950 that will even OC good, not every card OC's like u see it in the benchmarks " LukaTCE" i think u know that, let me just put it to you this way, no matter what 7970 leaves the 7950 IN the dust any day, ok there is no reason to fight about, if u cant afford save up, its not that much more, stop trying to prove something that wont be proven, and if u think its better then go for, we just telling you thats not the case bro thats all!
plus the the 7970 icex2 GHZ edition is were its at! thats what i just got

It's only at best %5 better is my guess. I'd like to see your guys ASIC scores and you guys can have a bench off. I doubt your card is much better than 5% and with a less shaders the HD7950 is more likely to over clock better. Both of your cards are nice but without some benchmark comparisons of both cards over clocked it hard to say which card is the best.

I have a HD7950 that beats many HD7970 in performance because it over clocks so well. With good over clocking HD7950 you get alot of card for the money. IMO the HD7950 is a better value and in some cases a better performer than many HD7970s.

All about the over clock.
