hi, i have bought two asus radeon 6670's thinking they were xfire compatible, turns out they aren't so as long as my os can recognise 2 graphics cards would i be able to just plug 2 monitors in one and then 1 in the other without xfire and then us them for gaming in medium settings and above?

Yes, you can have three monitors connected to use in windows, but you cant game on all three monitors (no Eyefinity). Also, you would have the same performance as if you had only one 6670. Since you aren't Crossfiring, the second graphics card will not do anything except output a display.

You also must have identical monitors.

With Crossfire enabled you need to plug all three monitors into one card.

If you want Eyefinity + Crossfire, you need all three monitors in the first card. Any display group of monitors to run Eyefinity must also be connected to the same card. So if you want Eyefinity, all three monitors need to be connected to the same card in both CF or no CF. If you cant enable CF, The second card is useless to you.

It wont be decent. You could play games like counterstrike or tf2, but not battlefield. At least not anything worth playing. You'd want something more powerful.
