So i woke up this morning and got this from new egg smile.gif
very happy to get back in the 7970 series, was running 2 gtx 680 sli, much happier with this cards,
a little OC help
Core clock 1200
mem clock 1575

did that with no Voltage adjust at all, but when i go to 1225 i crash should i go up on the voltage a bit? dont want to fry the cards
i ren heaven bench 3677 score with stock settings... smile.gif highest is 71 temps

so any suggestions on bumping up the Core Clock just a bit more??

71 on those clocks :O . that is awesome. is it the cards themselves or did you get lucky with the chips? also what is noise for those temps?

Sure...go up to 1.3v or 75C core or 90C VRM.

You can greatly lower temps by creating your own fan profiles, i like to hit 50% fan speed once it hits 50C, and scale up to 70% at 70C. Those Ice^2 cards have 2 fans..so im not sure if AB can control both fans or you have to use some proprietary software ...i HAVE to use GPU Tweak to control both fans on my Asus Matrix.

Altho its a lot tougher temp wise since your Crossfiring.

Wait..you traded in your 680 SLI for 7970 CF?

yes i had 2 GTX 680 Twin frozr OC edition, the performance is way better on this 7970's, noticeable in every game, and im running Crossfire this settings, not a single GPU, so ill try going up in voltage u sure 1.3 wont be too much?
