In 1920x1080 or lower you could max out pretty much all the games out there right now
A few games you might have to lower a little but pretty much anything

When I price out all the items on my final parts list at Amazon only, it's $1307. Bummer. Of course I get free Prime shipping. But still it's 300 over my preferred budget. I hate to order from so many places.
I wouldn't think amazon is the cheapest. Try microcenter or newegg.

Yes try your hardest to get to microcenter. The 3570k is 189.99 and a Z77 motherboard is 50 bucks off with purchase of processor.

The MC website is so horrible. It makes it almost impossible to compare them as an option.

And most of their deals don't show up until it is in your cart, so you have to try what you want and see if it has any additional discounts. Not very easy, but they frequently blow all other sellers out of the water in price.

The PSU seems to be the biggest stumbling block!

lol before looking at ur list i did mine after little search and found this

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/fido1988/saved/1qmo

now this list is not random i picked mobo with virtu mvp and the internal gpu in i5 will help boost fps in games, ofc there is other mobos have that feature
for the case i found out u did chose same biggrin.gif its very good looking and good value case thats why
for SSD i choosed cheapest with at least brand name biggrin.gif it will make him happy trust me biggest boost for any person on pc is the ssd coz it will make the whole operating system faster in opening anything or just lunching pc copy paste install etc.. the whole pc will feel smoother

as for GTx 660 coz of physics he might end up playing one of these games so he will like to enjoy advanced physics without FPS drop biggrin.gif specially i5 wont be able to handle it with ultra settings also form the game it just wont run smooth

mouse and keyboard both are good and cheep just amazing value, (keyboard with light For playing at night )
