Question about the internal gpu.

Thread Starter
My computer specs are in the sig.

So I am always running 2 screens on my computer, but only ever game on one of them. The other is tv I watch movies and series on and NOTHING else. (and the sound also goes through that hdmi)
Now, I'm wondering if I will get more out of my 680 when gaming if I use my igpu for the tv. or if I will lose any video or sound quality from using the igpu.

The gains would be minimal for gaming, but anything would help. Sound quality especially would be the least effected. If you can make it work that way, then I would do it. If all your doing is TV and vids, then the IGPU will handle it easily.

Thanks. I thought so, but I haven't used igpu since my first computer when I was like 10 years old so I thought it best asking. And when it comes to gaming as you say "everything helps" since my 680 wont let me stay at 60fps in most games. I want another one but I can't afford it atm.

EDIT: So I've been trying to get this to work but it seems I can't. Anyone got any idea why?
So far I've tried enableing the iGPU in bios, setting it to primary monitor, setting PCI-E primary monitor and I've tried installing Intel_Graphics_V815102712_Win7 from asus site but that wont even install. Telling me I don't meet the minimum req, guessing that's cause computer isn't even detecting the iGPU.

Anyone know if it's even possible to have both internal gpu and pci-e gpu on at the same time with my Sabertooth and 680?

I didnt think it was possible, but since i havent really tried it myself, I didnt question you. But now that I think about it, someone tried it here at work a couple days ago and it didnt work. The PC will choose one. If there is a way, I dont know what it is. Maybe on some boards you can hack it, but I dont know.

Try putting your GPU in a different slot. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS. Google it for you MB and you might come up with something.

I see alot of posts around the web about it not working, but I also see some posts here and there about it working.
For now I can't get it to work, but it might be because I'm doing something wrong or I'm missing something.
So since I've tried everything except changing the slot for my 680, I just want to know if it's at all possible with my setup.

I don't mind messing around with software, but I'm sick and tired of messing around inside my case tongue.gif
I'll ofc try ut if someone tells me that it should work.

EDIT: I've been told by someone that atleest the motherboard supports the feature I'm thinking of. Maybe it's the 680 that stops it.
