How much pump?

Thread Starter
Will be running a gpu BOINC 24/7 setup for my brother... will consist of an rx480, an rx360 and 4 blocked 7950s

Can I get away with a single D5 type of setup or will I need more pump power to run it effectively? (not necessarily concerned with optimal, but if there is going to be a huge difference temp wise then might be convinced to run with a dual pump or dual loop setup)

one might work but I'd go with 2.

A dual pump would be good as four blocks is quite some restriction you got there, apart from those two huge rads. XSPC has their Dual D5 pump with a res thing available, but if you wanna be unique, then two separate loops with D5's would be great. An OCN member has also done that and it looks great.

Temp wise, no difference or barely any. All you need is the liquid to be moving, may it be at the slowest speed possible.

I ran three koolance 7970 blocks, an xspc raystrom, and two rads on a a single mcp355. It worked fine.I bet that a single d5 will work, it may not be optimal but it may work. I would probably lean towards a ddc for that loop though.
