A few months back, I scored an Alienware Aurora 7500 for 80 bucks. Shortly thereafter, i was in a car accident, and all the plastic was broken off it. I had no idea what to do with the thing. Scrap it? Leave it? I decided to try something that, to my knowledge, hasn't been attempted.
I coated it with spray on bed liner.
This is the log of that task.

I drilled all of the rivets out of the case, and hung out the parts on some line between a couple trees, and a couple other places.

I did one coat a piece with bed liner

I then went over the inside components with special red paint.

Took my trusty rivet gun, reassembled after the paint cured, and this is it:

I'll be doing more modding soon. making a front panel and other goodies. also installing components and water cooling later. biggrin.gif

Looks. Sick. That bedliner makes it look so tough. devil.gif Makes me want to shoot it and see if it ricochets bullets!

funny you'd mention that. In thinking about doing a military themed build with bed liber, camp paint, an ammo can installed, barbed wire, the whole lot. When I do that, I'm gonna shoot it with .45 magnum hollow points a couple times devil.gif
thanks though!

Anybody have ideas as to what other mods I should do for it?

I think a side window made of mesh would go nicely on this.
